Cell

The cell is a 5"x5"x5" IC structure that has 3072 processors and a lot of memory. A cooling pipe runs thru the cell. The cell is a complete computer system with a fiber optic PCIe 16x bus. A video cell option with cooling system is available. The above two cells use (2) 19" racks for cells and (2) 19" racks for the cooling system. Let's start at the bottom layers of the cell with the nano spirals and copper trace for power to the IC parts. A copper RF shield on the inside of the cell or cube maybe needed to block the telsa spiral and RF. The CPU voltage comes from the nano spirals and use DC to DC converters on other IC parts if needed. There is 1/4 copper trace circle area all around the 1 inch IC circle area. The cell is made solid then the cooling tunnel is etched out. The 1" IC circle goes completely through the cube and around the cooling tunnel. There is a 4mm thick copper layer between the IC and copper cooling pipe to assist with thermal transfer. There is a thermal compound between the 4mm copper wall and the copper cooling pipe. There is a 1 inch very thin copper cooling layer above and below each IC part connecting to the 4mm thick copper layer.

Cube

The cube will need a 128 bit 16 core processor and a 128 bit real-time operating system to access all the memory. The cube is made on 450mm equipment and is about 15" x 15" x 15". One cube uses 1 Megawatt of power. The cube is 27 virtual cells.  The cube has 82,944 processors.  Gas nitrogen runs through the cooling copper pipes at 85 K. The memory lines on the same layer goto the processor and then that goes to the mini chipset which goes to RF channels then out of the cube on copper traces on top of the cube. There is a pin assembly that attaches to the top 3000 contacts of the cube. The PCB attaches to the pin assembly with fiber connectors on top. RF channels over copper or fiber. This is one computer and it is not a cluster but could be if needed.  This will be the most advanced piece of hardware on the planet. Choose your system by the number of processors, memory, or wattage you wish to use.

The brain is a massive parallel processor so I created a massive parallel processor system based on my cube technology. The company needs to build a metal mask group for the lithographic system so I don't spend over a billion dollars on masks. This group can do masks for other companies and start bringing in money, now. We can build the power supply in house to increase profits. The masks will be larger than what we currently use. The cell is all in one system that can replace servers in IT departments, college workstations, graphic workstations, and internet servers. The cell will be the most advanced and complex hardware on the planet till the cube is built. I need a small group to build the first prototype cell before going into high volume production on 450mm SEMI equipment. We should be able to get all the small groups and equipment into one building in the beginning. We can create a large high power transistor to replace tubes in transmitting towers. Network fabrics on large switches could use the cube technology. I guess that I should have the cell built in 6 months to one year from the time the 450mm SEMI equipment is working. I have been designing the cube technology and researching it for 4 years. I have had a person with a masters degree ask to be my assisant. My cube technology is a huge leap forward for computers and AI. Ray Kurzweil predicted this level of technology advancement in his book "The Singularity is Near". The cell should sell for 50,000-100,000 each, producing 20,000 each year netting 2,000,000,000. The cube should sell for 200,000-250,000 each, producing 40,000 each year netting 10,000,000,000. I'm not sure of the costs to make the cell or cube, yet. I hope to reduce the cost of the cell and cube. We can increase the number of cells sold if nvidia or/and ATI will make reference designs of a video cell that I can build. The metal masks for each layer of the cell and cube need to be made once, which will be used over and over again. Maybe movies of supercomputers will  be more accurate, now. If you do a 1 to 1 compare of IC space to human brain matter space we are using less than 1% of IC space. My cube technology(large cube) far exceeds human brain matter space.  We will achieve strong AI when IC space exceeds human brain matter space. Are current servers use less than a mouse of brain matter space not including the silicon base. The cell will not go over the human brain matter space but the cube will.

Cube System Overvieww

The end goal is more than one system with 1 to 8 billion processors that runs an AI system that can learn and teach the young. I can sell supercomputer time on the cube system. The theoretical peak is up to 70 exaflops which is far beyond current technology at 20 petaflops. This is not a cluster but could be if needed. Cube sectionsThis design has been very well planned out including the modeling the cooling system. The cubes can't power on at the same time because the transformers will not be able to handle it. If you think you found a problem with my design then email me at richardjharrisii@yahoo.com . I want to know all the problems and risks before the buildings are built underground. My designs are the links at the bottom of the web page.

Power Usage

I have never heard of a supercomputer using that much power so I assumed one nuclear plant was more than enough power, boy was I wrong. If I get 1.5 GW output from the reactors it would be 77 nuclear fission reactors at 8 billion processors. I will be using more power than the city of austin texas. If you want to impress me build a 1 terawatt power source for my computer in under 20 years that costs $100 million dollars..

Large Transistors

I can build high current RF transistors for audio and video transmiting using the 450mm etch tool. Mount with the heat sink on the bottom and the copper blocks on top. Build up the copper layers on top and etch away the material that is not needed. Tap and die hex screw into copper intersecting with 0 gauge wire hole.
